The best time to visit Leh Ladakh by road is between May to September. Even though the Srinagar Leh highway opens by the middle of May, the Manali Leh highway opens in June only.

Hi Akash, The best time to visit Leh would be Mid june to Mid July. Before that travel could be dangerous since there is still some snow on the roads. During this period, its extremely safe to travel, not too cold and yet you can see snow on the peaks. So I'd say its right there in the sweet spot.

April to Mid-May
April marks the beginning of tourist season in Ladakh and the place starts to become alive with tourist activities. Restaurants open, hotels and guest houses get ready to welcome guest and various camps at sites such as Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri Lake commence to set up. Usually, by the second week of May, the crucial Srinagar-Leh highway opens up leading to a flurry of tourism energy into Ladakh.
