Here I can break the cost of individual things Delhi to Pathankot Train- 300 INR sleeper class and 800 for 3A
Pathankot to Mcleodganj Bus- 100 INR
Room for one night - 300 INR
Tent rent- 1000( better to purchase from decathlon store if you camp often)
Food- it Depends (On average 500 INR per day) So here is your Cost List Good Luck!!

Here I can break the cost of individual things Delhi(majnu ka tila) to Mcleodganj bus station - Starts from 650(red bus)
Room for one night - starts from 300
Food - it depends there are lot of cafes in mcleodganj market (on Average 400 INR perday)
Tent 2 Sharing 800 per person including Dinner & Breakfast in Triund Camp site(book the tent near the Gallu devi temple before going to the trek).
Carry some snacks to the triund trek, the prices are double over there. So here is your Cost List Good Luck!! Have Fun.

Hey Neeraj, Take a direct train from Delhi to Pathankot. Then from there take a sharing auto to bus stand. From bus stand take a direct bus to Dharamshala. From Dharamshala bus stand, take a bus ( taxi will charge at least 300) to Macleodganj. Don't do any booking for Triund trek. You can get camps at top in Rs400 per person + 200 for meals+200 for snacks and water bottles. For more info, go through the link. Hi neeraj, budget depends on the luxuries your are ready to sacrifice, low budget can be around 3 to 4 K for 2 days at mcleod ganj and dharamshala.

It depends on your priorities whether you prefer to spend more on food & stuff or are interested to add more on hotel instead of food. I did a very budgeted trip 2 years back from Punjab in which I covered Dharamshala, Kangra & Maclo (camping excluded+ paragliding included) in just 5k. That's what I meant when I said it depends on priorities. But in a rough estimate it would vary from 3k to 6k only.

Budget depends on how much you want to spend on food and accommodation. You can follow this itenary-
Take Local/ Volvo bus from ISBT Delhi to mcleodganj
- Rs 600 to 1200
Staying at tents after reaching Triund
- Rs 400 to 700 per night
Food and Water
- Rs 800 to 1000 per day
Total would be around 4000 to 6000 depending on stay duration.
