North of India is always good to travel but South India is usually hot so winters are the best time to explore south.

Rajasthan....they have desert festivals in the winter months; Gujarat....they have Rann of Kutch festival (it's a White Desert Festival and you get to stay in a tent city); Madhya Pradesh....weatherwise it is advisable to choose the winter months; if you wish to play with snow, Srinagar could be the best option!!
