Hey Himanshu, There are lot of things to do and places to see in and near Chandigarh :- Visit the Chhatbir zoo ... Visit rock gardens of Chandigarh... Boat and Kayak in Sukhna lake... Visit the famous Pinjore gardens in chandigarh and witness lovely mughal gardens ... Visit Rose gardens ... Visit Le Corbusier center. .. You also have museum and art gallery and also Child art gallery in Chandigarh to visit .... Also dont forget to visit the UNESCO world heritage site Chandigarh Capitol Complex Happy Travelling !!!

I have visited Chandigarh approx. 10 times..If you have only one day ;Best you can do in Chandigarh is: 1)Go to nearby hill station Kasauli (where the movie"Koi Mil Gya" was shooted.It is 50km from chd. 2)At evening go to Sukhna lake and do boating. 3)At night,go to Elante mall.

Various garden and parks for srolling like - Rock garden, Pinjore garden, Rose garden, Bougainvillea Garden.
There are various museums, like City Museum, International Dolls Museum.
And shopping at sector 17
Or one can drive to nearby places -
