For Sri Lanka, you can apply online for an E-Visa or do visa on arrival. If you apply for an e-visa, you will receive an approval letter within 48 hours. You have to show the approval letter during immigration.

E-Visa registration for Sri Lanka. Not sure for Bangladesh, I guess you need to apply and obtain beforehand.
