In cash there is a limit of USD 3000 per person. card you can carry a larger amount and no problems will arise in customs. Thomas cook offered competitive rates!

Go for Niyo card !!!! It is the best forex card in India at the moment. You don't need to load currency over and over again with Niyo. You can link your savings account with Niyo and transfer it whenever you are short of currency.Niyo automatically converts your local currency to foreign currency.

Not a lot of people know about it but you may be randomly selected by system while boarding for a general customs information in which they will ask you how much currency are you carrying. This has happened to us while traveling maldives. Better to carry 2K USD and then card. Even credit / debit cards would work. Either way you'll be paying 2% charge on any transactions.. You there's no need to buy a forex card . Plus benefit of using your regular card is you'll get 2X or 5X reward points when you swipe internationally

To the contrary belief, I suggest carry card. it safe and easy. no Hassel in taking care of the cash. yes, there would be charge on cash withdrawal, so try using the card directly as POS. if you want you can carry a bit of cash, so that you have it handy. try buyforex online. it's good. the card they give is of single currency of multi currency.

Hi, I would suggest you carry half in cash and half you withdraw from airport ATM because airport ATM are safe and you will be charged one time only(less sometimes too)

Both. Depends on where you're going and your activities. Most hotels/big restaurants will accept forex cards. Small shops/shacks/transport will prefer cash.

Carry USD-its a currency widely accepted everywhere. If you are left with a lot of local currency, you wont get a good conversion rate for it if its not common. My suggestion would be carry some usd and convert it there.Alternatively, use your debit card-you can check the transaction percentage with them in advance.
