You can try this place called Lonar, it has a beautiful looking lake formed by a meteor hit. Dahanu is another unexplored wonder. For trekking, there is Kalsubai trek. sunrise is a must. Malshej ghat trek. Kaas plateau another wonderland in Maharashtra also knows as maharastra's valley of flowers. the list is endless, it just depends on how far you're willing to go.

We've just got back from a wonderful Maharashtra trip of 17 days and covered 4,500 kms from delhi. Fell in love with the state, it's food, it's scenic beauty and diversity and above all it's warm hearted people. Here is our Itenarary.... it was pretty "off beat". Delhi Manmad Aurangabad Nanded Panchgani Mahableshwar Sreevardhan Hariharan Pune Bombay this includes a lot of driving in the beautiful western Ghats and several destinations on the way like mulshi etc
