Medikeri is good and there are treks nearby, if you want help with trekking guide and homestay, Let me know. I know there is a nice coffee shop that comes on the way to trek.
Hey Renuka, Porcupine Castle is one of the finest places to stay in Coorg. This place offers the best hill-top views of Coorg. You can opt for 'The Tamara Coorg' (5-star) in Madikeri Taluk if you are looking for a luxurious stay.
'Heritage Resort Coorg' (4-star) is a perfect mid-range stay.

Coorg sightseeing is spread in 3 areas. stay at Madikeri and cover Madikeri sightseeing places. Also cover Talcauvery and Bhagmandala Next day u can visit sightseeing places near kushalnagar like dubare camp, monestry, nisarg dham etc. kushalnagar is around 30kms from Madikeri u can also plan to stay 1 day in Madikeri and 1 in kushalnagar
