Hi Aman, personally speaking the best and most cost effective way to reach Manali from Delhi is by road. The distance between Delhi and Manali is 540 km which takes around 14 hours on road travel. The Himachal Pradesh state bus service is first rate and one can get frequent buses to the region at reasonable cost. Other options are by rail and air.Bhuntar airport, Kullu is the nearest airport located at a distance of 50 km from Manali. Alternatively one can even fly to Chandigarh and then choose to take a bus or a taxi and reach Manali by road. The distance from Chandigarh to Manali is approximately 310 km which might take around 6 hours of on road travel. Jogindernagar is the nearest railway station, which is around 50 km from Manali. It is a narrow gauge railway station due to which has poor connectivity to major stations. One can take a train to Ambala from Delhi which is around 310 km from Manali and then take a taxi or a bus to reach Manali. Similarly one can take a train to Chandigarh and then reach Manali by taxi or bus.
