Hostels in tapovan area are superb. I stayed in the hosteller. It was pretty good. Also Swedish cottages is a good option.

Not sure about Haridwar but for Rishikesh, Visthapit area, Pashulok is the best area where you will find the best places to stay and also yoga ashrams that conduct retreats and teacher training programs. Ekattva Yogshala is one of the renowned yoga schools in that area. I went there back in 2022 during my vacations and joined this yoga school just to experience how it feels to perform yoga sessions in Rishikesh.
