October is the good time to visit Himalayas states as it's off monsoon... you could opt for Kasol- Kheerganga-malana, Chandratal lake is one of the beautiful options but it starts getting little colder in October, Kareri lae trek - it's still a cleaner trek and camping Destination, Narkanda or Mashobra nearby Shimla are also good options if you are not looking for sites with an extreme treks...

October marks the beginning of Winter and nights will get colder than usual. Areas around will be more greener and yes there are number of famous camping areas, like Triund, Beas Kund, Kheer Ganga, Kareri Lake near Dharamshala, Great Himalayan National Park, Thirthan valley, Bhrigu Lake etc are some of the famous one's. To reach these places it requires a beginners to moderate level difficulty hiking through dense forests, water crossings etc and that gives an out of the world experience. Happy Camping :) Stay Safe.

Yes Oct is one of the best time to visit. But it will cold out there. camping sites - 1. Beas kund 2. Kheerganga (Kalga and Tulga village , malana )

Hi. Triund trek and camping spot is definitely one of the best in Himachal. It's easily doable trek from Mcloedganj, Dharamshala. The view is absolutely stunning and breathtaking.
