India has a number of beautiful hill stations, each with its own unique charm and appeal. It's hard to single out one "best" hill station, as it depends on personal preferences and what one is looking for in a hill station experience. However, here are some popular options: Shimla: Known as the "Queen of Hill Stations," Shimla is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh and is a popular destination for its colonial charm, scenic beauty, and pleasant climate. I have been to quite a few and am a mountain lover myself. you will find every other hill station claiming to be the queen or the princess or the king of hills or a barrage of ChatGPT written answers (including some on this thread as well 😁). From my own experience, I would recommend you to travel to Kausani and beyond , it is relatively less explored so one can still find the calmness one seeks. besides, there are places where you can actually see clear skies full of stars. there is a company that allows you to look at the night sky through astronomical telescope. just look it up in kausani. another place that I love going to is Lansdowne. it has that old world charm and less crowd. so pick your favourite.
