I live in ooty. yes it is one of the best place to be in.
coonoor you can get cheaper hotels but ooty you can get branded showrooms and good hotels like gemstone.
food price is same in both the city.
coonoor is 3 degree warmer than ooty.
best time to avoid traffic is from oct to march. exteme cold from.dec 20 to feb 5
rain from june to sept. you can also try kodaikanal in TN, munnar n wayanad in kerala

Undoubtedly Tamil nadu has many beautiful and scenic hill stations.

Undoubtedly the below in order as these are places where u can actually relax and be at ur own pace as well as pocket friendly..
cunoor less of commercialization when compared to kodaikanal and Ooty
kothagiri has some real nice estate stays
yercaud has some really exotic resorts
kolli hills is really a wonder to nature lovers
u should definitely give these a shot rather than the usual kodaikanal, Ooty clitche mania.. 😇👍 happy travelling!
my next try would be to manjolai near tirunelveli.. heard super good reviews from m a friend from tirunelveli but lot of formalities like forest permissions etc.. researching on that..!!

Kodaikanal is the best
we stayed at the Sterling resort!
they had cycles to rent, with doubles also
cycling around the lake is a mesmerizing activity!
