The cooler months from October-March is the peak season thus the best time to visit, but a lot of people are opting to travel even during monsoon.

I guess the rainy season would be the best. Hampi gets most romantic during that time and it seems wonderful to me, in the sweet smell of petrichor. Happy Travelling ! :)

October & November is the best time. There's a lot of crowd around this time. The shops, restaurants and tourist spots are lit up! One wouldn't want to miss that fun!!!

The best months are from Oct to Feb as the weather is pleasant and not extremely hot. Also you will have lot of foreign tourists visiting Hampi at this time of the year.

From November to Febuaray. If you love rainds than late August to end of Spetember is also nice. Best time to visit Hampi is from October to February as the temperature is pleasant throughout the day. You can also visit during the monsoon season, but you have to be careful while walking on the boulders as they become quite slippery. Avoid visiting Hampi in summers, as it is scorching and dry
