Visiting Goa in summers is not a good idea, secondly, for a family visit, North Goa is better as it is full of life. Whereas, for peace seekers away from chaotic city life, South Goa is better with its not so crowded clean beaches.

North Goa is full of sea, sand and picturesque views. Filled with flea markets, ancient temples, casinos, there are lots to visit. Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Candolim, arambol are some beaches while agunda fort, chapora, Basilica bom Jesus, museum, mangeshi temple are some spots to visit. South Goa is full of Portugese culture, lush greenery, and abundant history. Paloloem, colva beaches, chandreshwar temple, Cabo de Rama fort, museums and Mollem national park.

South Goa if you love quaint peaceful and scenic neighbourhood. Some of the best high end luxury beach resorts are in south goa. It also gives an opportunity to explore goa beyond beaches like chorla ghat, waterfalls,bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary which has stunning offbeat gems deep within the western ghats. North goa is more happening with pubs, shacks, restaurants , Beaches, forts and water sports.

I like North more. so it is depend on your taste. South is very crowded but north has its own vintage beauty.
