Hotel Mamta near Dal lake area.. I had stayed there and it was really nice. Visit srinagar, gulmarg, Pahalgam.. After sunset it is not well lit inside lanes but if you are staying near Dal market you can roam around and shop.
You get shared jeeps to pahalgam near that area.

Suggest plan more of time to gulmarg and pahalgam rather than in srinagar. Both are beautiful places.

I visited Kashmir few years back in off season in august and believe me we got a very good deal for living in the house boat..in my opinion one can have ab access to hotels everywhere but living in house boats is something kashmir only offers..waking up in the morning and having water all around seems so serene..Happy traveling 😊

Must - Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonmarg. I stayed in Dal lake houseboat one day "Houseboat Ambassador" owner was a real gem. 4 nights at Srinagar and 2 nights at Pahalgam I would recommend. One can do day commute to Sonmarg and Gulmarg. while going to Pahalgam do not miss the 1100 old Awantipura Temple ruins Hire a cab would be easier but in Pahalgam any Srinagar based cabs not allowed. Govt guest house near Dal lake not a bad option if you are not looking for Houseboats. Try if you could manage log cabins or homestays around Pahalgam. Walking around Pahalgam is a bliss in itself Dont miss Kawa (saffron tea) and Gushtaba (if you are meat lover) People there are the best experience we had. They immediately let us feel homely.
