Bali is comparatively cheap as you get alot of good accommodation options that are decently priced. There are far more activities to explore. Maldives is more luxe comprising of high-end resorts which after opting for full board will turn out to be expensive.
I travel solo, mostly! what drives me the most across the journey i take is the thrill of being on move, the journey itself feels so free and uplifting... Sense of belonging and exploring feels amazing. You connect with yourself even more and better. As a solo traveler, you're never really alone. You get to see new places, meet interesting faces. Then you always have YOU for company :)
If you are travelling to North India then i suggest you Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh. You can do adventure sports too like Paragliding, Bungee Jumping, Sky Cycling, Trekking, Camping or you can just stay in a peaceful tent or hut and enjoy the beautiful sunset and night sky in a cafe. Also i can arrange the homestay/camp site for you.

Visit in winter Nov to February.
If you just like to enjoy beauty of Kerala monsoon June July is also good, but you cannot involve in any outdoor activities
