Nepalese rupee... but they accept Indian rupee also... But you can get exchange your inr to Nepalese rupee there itself at money exchange shops.

I strongly recommend you as follows: 1. 2 nights in Allephey or Kumarakom(One side of lake is Allephey the other side of lake is Kumarakom), some back water property will be good. You can enjoy Vembanad lake and the backwaters. 2. 2 Nights in Munnar. Just 4 to 5 hours from Allephey. This is one of the best time to experience this Hill station 3. 2 Nights in Cochin city. You have a lot of things like Falls, Temple, Malls, islands nearby.... I am from kerala kochi.u must be landing in kochi.homestay is available in fort kochi side,but issue is how long ru going to stay in kochi.if its one day then hire service apartments like reveira suits in thevara...travel to munnar,thekkadi then to aleppy kumarakam kovalam,,dont stay in house boats as its not fun as people say.boat just tied into one bank.finish ur day cruise.food wise kerala has variety.house boats bargaining can be done.

*himachal Pradesh is a major tourist attractions of india and is a vintage jwell too .it's a perfect tourism state. wherever you go , people here treat you like a family and less as the tourist .
*best villages to interact with locals and live with them are tosh , jibhi , khajjiar,kufri, you can explore malana too but you can't touch anything here .the best thing would be finding a homestay locally insted of searching it online .
*alternatively,you can go for a big trek covering many regions of himachal-pradesh and you'll understand locals and their traditions more.

If you want go to some remote and less crowded place and interested in trekking then you could choose tirthan valley. There are lot of places you could visit in tirthan.
From tirthan Manali is also approx 50kms. And tirthan valley is very beautiful.

The month of August is not the perfect time to visit Gangtok as the beauty is not displayed to its full potential. However, if you do not have a choice, risking a little will add to the fun. Be prepared to experience rainfall at that time. If you are lucky, you will get a clear weather and pleasant temperature. And, make sure you book a good vehicle with an experienced driver because of the slippery road.

Hi Nishant, the most popular route is Delhi-Chandigarh-Manali-Leh. The road passes through Rohtang Pass, Keylong, Jispa and Sarchu. You can spend the first night in Manali, second in Jispa and reach Leh on the third day. The other slightly longer route is Delhi-Chandigarh-Jammu-Srinagar-Leh. On this route you can spend the first night Jammu followed by a night in Kargil before reaching Leh on the third day. * since you are planning for a trip on last week of August , I will prefer you Mahabaleshwar . Mahabaleshwar is famous for rivers, waterfalls, ancient temples, stunning cascades,dense tropical forests, majestic peaks ,valleys and windy roads and this view just looks so dreamy in monsoon .Coorg is famous for coffee plantations ,step hills, countless streams,rice flora and fauna , lush forests and breathtaking views .it's not preferred in monsoons ,winters are the best time for this place whereas Kodaikanal is popular for hills ,also reffered as princess of hills , amazing hills and one flower which blooms once in 12 years ,it's a winter travel destination . Comparing all the three places , I would suggest you to explore Mahabaleshwar .Main thing is mountain views so better book a hotel with great view . UpvoteCommentHi Priya, must see places in Udaipur are the City Palace, Lake Palace, Vintage Car Museum, Sajjangarh and Bagore Ki Haveli. I highly recommend the Bagore ki Haveli light and sound show and a sunset boat ride in Lake Pichola. If you have time, then take a day trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple.

Even the surrounding hills are clad in green.
