Hey mridula, depends on your interest, if you are searching properties near beaches then do try Tanto far beach retreat, lotus bay view and villa bayoud, if you are going there to celebrate new year then its better if you book your rooms in the heart of the city
Rather than going with package tours and travel, i would suggest you can plan the trip by yourself. The flight will cost you within 20k to and fro.

Kheerganga is best you will fing a trek with nice trees , waterfalls , villages , temples and at the end of the trek you get a nice natural hot water spring which will make you get rid of the tiredness of doing the trek . kheerganga gives views of snow capped mountains and you can camp there . The food in cafes are bit expensive but amazing
