In April, you can visit Mahabaleshwar (Maharashtra) for its cool weather and strawberry farms. Pachmarhi (MP) is another great option with pleasant temperatures and lush greenery. Mount Abu (Rajasthan) stays relatively cooler as it's a hill station. Saputara (Gujarat) is also a good choice with scenic views and a comfortable climate.

The weather in April is hot in all four states. If you chose to plan, Maharashtra is better among the three. You can explore in and around Pune - Camping at Pawna, Mahabaleshwar & Panchgani, Igatpuri, Nashik, Lavasa, lonavala Also, Malvan Tarkarli; Dandeli; Alibaug Alot to explore but best to do either in morning or evening! afternoon is unbearable. if you’re planning for MP - try jungle safari in either of the Sancturies - Pench, Panna, Kanha, Satpura or Bandhavgarh.

If you're in Chennai, you have to try the idlis and dosas at a local street-side joint, soft, crispy, and served with amazing chutneys. Also, don't miss out on kothu parotta; it's spicy, greasy, and absolutely delicious! If you’ve got a sweet tooth, jigarthanda is a must. Have you tried anything yet?

Hi Divya, Both Valley of Flowers and Kashmir Great Lakes are spectacular monsoon treks, but they offer vastly different experiences. Here's a one-paragraph comparison to help you pick the one that actually deserves your monsoon vacation: If you’re dreaming of walking through a technicolor dreamscape, Valley of Flowers is your monsoon fantasy come true—this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Uttarakhand bursts into bloom between July and September, offering an easy to moderate trail filled with over 500 species of alpine flowers, cascading waterfalls, and misty Himalayan views. On the other hand, if you're craving a more rugged, remote adventure, Kashmir Great Lakes is a visual overdose of high-altitude alpine lakes, dramatic valleys, and postcard-perfect meadows—arguably one of India’s most stunning treks. It's longer, tougher, and more isolated, making it ideal for seasoned trekkers. So, if you’re a nature lover seeking a short, floral escape, pick Valley of Flowers; but if your soul’s calling is for raw beauty and a serious trekking challenge, Kashmir Great Lakes will steal your heart (and your breath—in the best way possible).

There is no specific quota for agent in the IRCTC guidelines but the nexus between the IRCTC officials and the travel agents is no longer a secret and yes, during peak season they are the best people to get in touch with. During urgent situations you can get confirmed tickets by using the Current booking feature too. That's is something that not many travellers use and you can get these tickets 4 hours prior to departure.

In India? Anywhere on the backpacker circuit is pretty good to meet people. When are you looking to go?

It's supposed to open by the end of May but it's suggested that you contact BRO office or Taxi operators union office in Manali for the correct date. Hope this helps.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
The passage is usually clear in June. This year, the taxi operator strike is the main concern. Hopefully things get resolved before June. Check news websites for an update before you go.
