Even though Egypt has been rife with political turmoil in the recent years, the country should be safe for tourists. But stick to the major cities and tourist destinations and keep tabs on the daily news.
It's a beautiful heaven while the beach will give you serenity and peace the night life at the same time will make upp. It's best if you can stay at a resort and also if you are someone who enjoys water sports you will have tons of fun doing them there Also on a side note check out Hurgada as well it's pretty similar to sharam al sheikh but a whole lot cheaper :)

August last week, I suggest you go for valley of flowers this time. Hampta pass would have been a cover of green...Valley of flowers would be quite a scenic change. Another option is to do a trek in Spiti/ Sangla.
Hi! Are you travelling via motorcycle or a car/four-wheeler? If you are going by a bike then definitely check out the route via Kishtwar since you will be able to manuever the narrow route. Otherwise go via Chamba.
