*Shimla – just the name evokes dreamy images of green, white and blue. The best time to visit Shimla is during May to June and December to January when romance and beauty are baked into every inch of the soil here. It is a very popular holiday-retreat during the summer months and is well-known for its Victorian architecture, which is reflected in certain areas of the Mall and The Ridge. It is also a famous holiday spot for honeymoon
*Shimla enjoys heavy snowfall in December and January, making it a perfect destination for snow lovers and winter sport enthusiasts from across the world. Though winter begins in November. The average maximum stands at low-twenties, while the minimum drops below 15 degrees
*I have a small suggestion for you, I just checked online and found that there are some great travel deals for shimla available at tripoto itself, do check out this link

Hi, Shivangi!
May is a great time to enjoy a vacation with family. However, if your mother has a knee condition, the most suitable places can be Nainital, Shimla, Munnar, Manali, Mussoorie, McLeod Ganj, and Dharamshala. These are some hill stations which have pleasant weather during May and also don't demand too much walking. However, it's recommended that you check with your accommodation about the transport and other facilities which makes it easier for you and your mother in that particular destination.
Places to visit in Agra is... Red Fort, Mehtaab baag... where all the movie shooting is done being Taj in backgrounf, sikandra, Fatehpur sikri which is 40 km outskirts of agra..... Kalakriti show is also famous..
Start with Phuket as the crowd at the airport would be lesser which makes it easier to get the visa on arrival. From Phuket, you can do day trips to James Bond island and Phi phi island. Ask you hotel for a good deal. 3 days in Phuket is sufficient. You can spend the remaining two days in Bangkok for shopping and local sightseeing
In Phuket, 1. Try staying closer to the Patong Beach. It would be helpful to go to nearby places such as the Patong beach, Bangla road, the street food market, Kata and Karon beaches. There will be many shops nearby selling day tour packages and offering bike rentals as well.
2. Places to see - Day trip to Phang Nga bay. This includes Koh Panak island, James Bond island, Koh Panyi island (where you stop for lunch), Hong island and canoeing and Naka island. Choose a speed boat rather than long tail or big boat as it covers more places. Alternatively, you can also book a Phi Phi island day tour, although in my opinion Phi Phi deserves atleast 2-3 days by itself. You can read my post on Phi Phi in my Tripoto profile.
3. Other places in Phuket - Big Buddha, Karon View point, Promethep Cape view point, Freedom and Paradise beach, Wat Chalong temple, Flying Hanuman Ziplining, Phuket town day tour, Phuket night markets, Bangla road night life (do not miss this). If you have more time you can even try to visit the Similan islands in the Andaman sea. Phi Phi islands (you need to reach here via ferry from Phuket)
1. Again here also you can book a one day tour package which included Viking Cave, Monkey beach, etc.
2. Phi Phi view point.
3. Scuba diving - There are numerous dive shops on the island offering scuba experience.
4. Beach nightlife on Loh Dalum beach.
5. Long Beach if you want a less crowded beach. Krabi
1. If you're traveling to Krabi by ferry, make sure to get down at the Ao Nang pier. You can ask for this while purchasing the ferry ticket.
2. Beaches to see - Phra Nang Cave beach, Railay East and Railay West beaches (reachable only via longtail boats)
3. Tham Phra Nang Nai (Diamond cave) - 10 mins inland from Railay beach. It closes by 6PM.
4. Other places in Krabi - Four island day tour, Emerald Pool and Hot Springs (about 70km from Krabi town), Tiger cave temple (but you need to climb 1237 steps to reach this!), Wat Kaew Korawaram temple. Do DM me in case you need further details on the itinerary. I have previously planned a 9-day itinerary including Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi islands and Krabi.
Hampi and Gokarna although around 300kms apart are on same route from central to north Karnataka while Coorg (Kodagu) is exactly opposite. All three places are different in nature. Hampi is a archaeological UNESCO heritage site, Coorg is a hill station with coffee and spices plantation and Gokarna is a quiet beach place different to Goa. You can cover Mysore with Coorg if you haven't been there yet as it will come on the way. Honestly 6 days is too less to travel as most of it is going to be road trip and you will have to travel through entire length of the state.Try to travel during night both to save time so you can see places during the day.
Coorg: You can take overnight bus and can stay in hostel/home stays. You will love local food in Coorg specially if you are non-vegetarian.Bangalore to Coorg is around 6.5 hours by road.
Hampi: There is a direct overnight train from Bangalore to Hospet (near Hampi). Homestays are easily available and vegetarian food is served. Try to stay in Hippie island on other side of river. You might like it.
Gokarna: Direct bus from Hampi. Some 7 hours i think.
Note that there are direct buses available between each of these locations and Bangalore Bangalore to Hampi is best by train so you can sleep but other routes are best traveled by bus as train journey would take more time and may not be direct. Let me know if you need any more information or help. Welcome to Karnataka!
Hi Kher, If you'are planing to visit Hampi check out Hampi itinerary in our profile which might be helpful for you are trip to Karnataka. Thanks,
