Overview
It is a heaven for wildlife enthusiasts and is a rich, dry, deciduous forest, a great place to walk and enjoy nature. The mesmerizing trails of Tadoba could be a treasured experience of a lifetime. Tadoba has been referred to as the "Jewel of Vidarbha". The diverse and thrilling Tadoba National Park is situated in Chandrapur district. it is the largest national park in the state of Maharashtra. Sprawling over an area of about 1727 sq km, the park is the secure abode of diverse wildlife. Southern tropical dry deciduous forest, with dense woodland vegetation and animals like Chital, Chausinga, Sambars, Barking Deer, Sloth Bear, Neel Gai, Indian Bison, Wild Dog, Wild Boar and Leopard make Tadoba an incredible natural museum. The national park is considered an offbeat track and thus multiplies the fun. Tadoba Tourism is the outcome of my interaction with various friends and Nature Lovers, very safe for women to explore wildlife. Though Tadoba National Park is the Natural Land of Tigers, many visitors facing problems in reaching this park. Enriched with great wealth of Biodiversity through flora and fauna, wildlife, birds, butterflies, beautiful landscaping, Tadoba still suffering due to lack of proper information and adequate facilities.
I strongly recommend this adventure trip for all female travellers to Tadoba for the month of March around Holi (3 days long weekend during holi festival),

Fixed dates- 6, 7 & 8 March ’15 (6th Friday Holi, 7 & 8th Sat & Sunday) – 3 days long weekend during holi festival.
Itinerary -
Day 01 (06/03/15) - Arrive Nagpur - Tadoba
Arrive Nagpur and proceed to Tadoba, Post lunch go for the afternoon safari. Overnight at Tadoba
Day 02 (07/03/15) - Tadoba
Morning and afternoon safari. Overnight at Tadoba
Day 03 (08/03/15) - Tadoba
Morning after breakfast check out from Tadoba and proceed to Nagpur railway station via Anandwan.
Note: It's important to plan your trip well in advance, as the reserve has only recently found a place on the tourist map and the number of places to stay is very limited. The number of safaris is also restricted, Ideally, it's recommended that you go on three to four safaris to fully see the park for optimal wildlife sightings

Access to Nagpur
By Air: The closest airport is at Nagpur, from where one can take a cab to Chandrapur
By Rail: The nearest railway station is at Chandrapur (49kms) and Nagpur (151kms).
By Road: There are frequent buses from Chandrapur to Mohrali Village. Also, cab/taxi facility is also available in the large number.
Note: The railway reservations begin 60 days prior to the date of departure. Hence, all the participants are requested to confirm their participation immediately to facilitate railway/ Flight or Bus reservations.

Bookings are confirmed on receipt of 50% amount in advance.
Hotel confirmations are subject to availability. In case of unavailability, an alternate hotel in similar category will be booked and customer will be notified of the same.

Best Time to Visit: Tropical climate makes winter season the best time to visit Tadoba National Park. However, the best season to sight tigers would be the hotter months (April to May). Post monsoon is also a good time to visit Tadoba Wildlife Sanctuary when the jungle becomes lush green and is filled with flowers.

Tadoba National Park is surrounded by many beautiful places and temples. Tadoba Lake, Shiv Mandir, Sankatmochan Hanuman Mandir and Urjanagar Lake are some of the popular places near Tadoba. Durga Maa Temple, St. Michael Church and Ayyappa Temple are some of the other tourist attractions near Tadoba National Park. Nagpur is the closest city that happens to take tourists away from the rustic ambiance of the park
