Living root bridge just before the double decker, near serene home stay, Nongriat.

Located at a height of 2400m, reaching this bridge might be a task but one that’s totally worth it! Made of the Indian Rubber Tree this is one of the biggest attractions of Cherrapunji. A unique attraction and quite an innovative mix of nature and engineering. The Umshiang River flows beneath the bridge.
Living root bridge:This is situation 2 kms before Mawlynnong village. There is a parking lot from where you have to trek to this bridge, its about 1-1.5km each way. You have to pay a small entry fee to this root bridges. But then don't allow to stand of the bridge, just to pass through. There's a river flowing below this bridge.
Root BridgeThere are two root bridges near Cherrapunjee, out of which one can be visited by car and is near Mawlynnong but the other which is quite far and has an angelic view has to be reached by a good trek of 3000 steps.
The naturally formed living root bridge at Cherrapunjee is just unbelievable looking at the way it has formed by itself. It seems it has been constructed.
