Prague was the last location of our trip and the two Shahrukh movies that come to mind which were shot in Prague are the most recent Jab Harry Met Sejal and Duplicate 20 years ago. It turned out more difficult to match the locations for Duplicate as quite a bit has changed about the National Museum of Prague and Wenceslas Square in these 20 years.

The whole song of Radha in Jab Harry Met Sejal was shot in just one location in Prague, the Vrtbovska Zahrada in Old Prague. The area is full of Zahrada (Gardens) and this can be reached via tram from new Prague where most of the bed and breakfast places are set up. There is an entry ticket for the place and most parts of the place where the song was shot were closed. The small place can be explored within 15-20 minutes. There was not much crowd which made the dancing and madness easier :)J

The songs of Duplicate were shot in both Switzerland and Prague. The discontinuity of space of space and time in songs is just too much people who believe in physics to comprehend. SRK dancing in Prague runs to look for Juhi and finds her in Switzerland. We very much physical human beings could do one location at a time only ! The main spots in Ek Shararat song are in front of National Museum of Prague in Wenceslas square. This is quite a central place and street which can be reached by tram to the Museum stop. The museum was unfortunately under renovation and there is a new museum that has opened up which make reviving memory a little difficult. This is Nevertheless we did not stop posing or dancing :) The other main location in Ladna Jhagadna song is Troja palace which is about 40-50 min distance from the main city and has to be reached by first taking a tram till Nadrazi holesvoice and then a bus to Zoologica Zahrada. Troja Palace looks the same but some renovation was ongoing even at this location. Remaining parts of Duplicate songs were covered in Switzerland.

Prague brought us back to a bit of Bangalore feeling coming from places which closed at 6 PM to a place which is mainly known for night pub life. We saw slow moving traffic as well in some places. The public transport tickets in Prague can be found at chota sutta places or big magazine stores and metro stations. We found the people overall little less friendlier than other places visited and lesser good Indian food options. It needed quite a bit a dumb charades and repentance on not learning European languages in school throughout the stay at Prague. Golden Tikka is one restaurant we found very good for Indian food and very well rated. We did a repeat visit to this place for dinner after a tiring day of walking through St Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle,Vrtbovska Garden, Troja Palace and Prague Zoo. Prague Zoo was quite a nice break for children who are bored of watching historic buildings and grasslands for 12 days. Another highlight of Prague was beer gardens with amazing views of the city where one can have beer and relax for a couple of hours. We visited Letna gardens after a bit of hiking for the same.

A walk through Old Prague around Astronomical Clock, Charles bridge and Mala Strana is a beautiful experience that gives the true feeling of Prague. Not to forget the checklist item Tdelnik at Creperie U Kajetána though there are options to have them hot by the street side as well. Staropramen and Pilsner Urquell also make it to the checklist items of “must-try” in Prague.

We took an organised day tour to the oldest Budweiser brewery in Czech and UNESCO heritage town of Cesky Krumlov. Cesky Krumlov is an altogether different experience compared to city like Prague. Ancient old buildings with renaissance techniques of architecture and paintings and the tour of the castle were just mind-blowing. For kids it would be like all fairy tales coming alive. This was a well spent day except for minimal food options for vegetarians on the tour. We got to eat just raw vegetables with of course beer and build some health :)

3 days of rain did not dampen our spirit to walk through history with some Bollywood dancing in Prague.
