Shivakhola is a low altitude Quaint Himalayan Hamlet with uncanny natural beauty . This breathtaking beauty is just 25Kms/ 1hr Drive Approx from the beautiful City of Siliguri in the indian state of West Bengal. This place is surrounded by Eastern Himalayan Mountains , Tea Gardens , Shivakhola River (which also meets Mahananda River here) and Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary . This Place is paradise for nature lovers who seeks sometime in the lap of nature without chaos and just the sound of Nature, which is ecstatic here combining the sound of River flowing, soudn of wind gushing through woods and hundreds of birds chirping Morning till Night. Elephants also comes out for drinking water sometimes. Winter is the beat time to visit this place.
