Lucky are the people who find the perfect partner to spend their life with. Myself and Ebichan are really thankful to God making us find each other. In this devotional feel we thought of visiting the Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health.

We started off from Coimbatore at 9 PM on a sleeper bus which would reach Velankanni morning 7 AM.
As it was night Trip Jodi had nothing much to do than to go in to a lazy long sleep. We woke up early morning to enjoy the sunrise from the moving bus but unfortunately the sky was not clear.
At around 7.30 we reached Velankanni.
Velankanni church provides accommodation for pilgrims at much cheaper rate of Rs. 100 per day, enquired about it and headed to the booking centre near bus stand. But to our wonder there was a large queue of people standing to book the rooms.
Hmmm.. We changed our plans and luckily we found a safe lodge to stay at cheaper rate.
After freshening up and having our breakfast we stepped out of the room. It was sunny out side and humid. We could see many people coming from different parts of the world.
On both sides of the road to the church you can find many hotels stalls shops etc. Most of the shops are newly constructed or reconstructed after the Tsunami which happened a decade ago.
Velankanni is one of the biggest Catholic pilgrimage centre in India and its declared as a holy place by Pope. It is estimated that 20 Million pilgrims come to Velankanni from all over the world in a year.

After wandering around for a while we then visited Morning star church prayed well. We heard prayers being recited in louder voice outside. Coming out we found people chanting out prayers and forming line of a rosary procession with idol of Mother Mary, we also joined in the procession.

We thanked mother Mary for all the blessings. Then we found people perform tonsuring and Ebichan also did the same.
We headed to the wide beach, it was wonderful spending whole evening in the beach.
Wondering there is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it send away
Till late night around 10 we were roaming and visited other grottos, we were not alone, there were many people praying on their knees with tears rolling down. Everyone had something to ask, and something to thank in their own form of prayer.
We went back to room and had a hot bath to get rid off the beach sands, we had fish curry rice and went for sleep.
Good Morning ! Last night it self we decided to see the sunrise. We woke up early and went to the beach but unlucky again it was cloudy.
Then we came back to attend the Malayalam Holy Mass.
With great peace and extra happiness in our souls we bid bye to Velankanni .
Prayers are very Powerful, But remember that God works in his timing, not yours. Have patience
FootNote : We could not find hygienic Food at cheaper rate anywhere , therefore suggesting to have fruits and other options. Water is hard and saline , get bottled water for drinking.
