India isn’t less than any European historical city or an Arabian wonder or an American marvel, and here is a list that proves it.

20. The Brahmaputra River
The majestic Brahmaputra River is one of the major rivers of Northeast India, flowing through the great gorges of Arunachal Pradesh and the Valley of Assam. A sunset over the 2,900 km long Brahmaputra River, when the dark clouds gather over the sky and the rays of sun play with the river water, is a must see for every traveller.

19. Frozen Lakes of Himalayas
The Great Himalayan mountain ranges contain hundreds of beautiful lakes. The Himalayan terrain of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim host some of the best frozen lake of India. Frozen lake at Tawang, Gurudongmar, Lake of Sikkim and the world famous Dal Lake in Srinagar are some of the beauties of the Himalayas.

18. Lakshadweep
The group of islands of Laccadive or Lakshadweep in the Laccadive Sea are the major attractions of this tiny Union Territory of India. Islands of Lakshadweep, are famous for water sports and adventures sports like scuba diving and snorkelling.

17. Western Ghats
The Western Ghats are one of the hottest biodiversity spots and home to a large variety of flora and fauna along with many undiscovered species. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its natural beauty, high peaks, several man-made lakes and reservoirs, waterfalls and green scenery, The Western Ghats are a gem of India.

16. Ghats of Varanasi
Varanasi or Banaras is one of the oldest cities in India, situated along the banks of the holy river Ganges in Uttar Pradesh. The majestic Varanasi Ghats are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in India.

15. Sundarbans
The mangrove forest of Sundarbans are one of the largest tidal halophytic mangrove in the world, situated at the Sundarbans delta in West Bengal. The Sundarbans region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to a large number of Royal Bengal Tigers.

14. Ladakh Lakes
Ladakh is home to some of the most spectacular lakes. These lakes of Ladakh change form every day and looks the most beautiful during the evening. Pangong Tso, is one of the most beautiful high Altitude Lake of Ladakh along with Tso Moriri Lake. The blue skies over the lakes along with the tremulous lights of the sun gives a shimmering reflection in the water which looks like stars on earth.

13. Waterfalls in Shillong
Mawsynram, is a small village located on the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. This region is surrounded by big hills, lush green mountains and a number of famous waterfalls in India.

12. Kanha National Park
Kanha National Park is situated at the heartland of India. The Tiger Reserve is one of the largest National Parks and is home to a significant number of Royal Bengal Tigers and Indian leopards along with Indian wild dogs.

11. The Thar Desert
The Great Indian Desert is situated in the Royal state of Rajasthan and is surrounded by The Aravalli mountain ranges and The Great Rann of Kutch. Thar Desert offers one of the most wonderful experiences including a night among the dunes along with enjoyable camel rides.
