Hey peeps !!

Today we have a very special tour stored in for you with the live footage and the deets as to how to go about it.
Yes , we are talking about the picturesque, majestic, breath taking, thundering and  roaring Niagara falls.

•Niagara Falls is situated at the international U.S./Canadian border and is  located about 17 miles from Buffalo, NY which is a seven-hour drive from New York City.

• Since we were visiting someone in New York so we travelled by a personal car uptil here.
But the travellers can travel through a hired taxi, train or bus.

• To create our 'Mist soaked' lifetime memories, we took its exclusive ' Maid of the Mist ' tour which is a 20 minute boat ride which takes you right in the middle of these falls. One could literally feel the force of the thundering fall on your face which could literally shut your eyes .  Shree braved that and in turn was awarded with this exclusive footage which is one of our much cherished memory🤗.
Since it had that much expected crowd, we went individually to do this ride  when we got a vacancy in the crowded boat turn by turn after a gap of another 15 minutes.

• Maid of the Mist boat is a steel bodied double-decker boat and it sails from the American side of Niagara Falls. Reservations are not required since the tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance to the NY State Observation Tower within Niagara Falls State Park itself. The tour is a recurring tour which occurs at every 15 minutes or so. Since we were adults, we paid around 20$ each for our boat tour in 2017 but concessions applied for children in the 6-12 years age group and also children under 5 years of age were admitted free. The Maid of the Mist is accessible for physically challenged persons.

After purchasing our ticket we were then taken on an elevator ride to the boarding docks at the river which in itself was a very pleasant experience.

• We were alloted disposable blue raincoat ponchos each to avoid getting wet but nonetheless force is strong enough to not fulfill the aforesaid purpose completely.
PS: We still have those raincoats as our souvenirs of this Niagara fall trip😊.

• The boat drops you at the same spot from which it picks up the travellers. At the end of the boat tour we also visited the Maid of the Mist gift shop for more souvenirs.

Now as promised above, giving you all the sneak peek into the visual treat of breath taking falls from the U.S. side.
(Blue is the colour for the disposable rain ponchos from U.S. side as stated above. Red is for Canadian side which is considered a better side to watch this magneficent fall from).

This is  a rare live footage of majesticity of fall in action covered by Shree ( all credits to him).

Covering it was much of a task since the mist, moisture ,and the thundering pressure of the water accelerated by the strong winds fall on your face and  doesn't allow you to do so.  Opening your eyes only to enjoy the view becomes a task , covering it can be the last thing on anyone's mind to do this tour which takes you right in the midst of this fall . At the same time crowd , and safety of the camera and mobile phone also becomes an issue.
I didn't risk taking mine since I was confident about losing my phone in all these obstacles,😂 and last thing I wanted on this trip was losing my precious phone.🙄

Mind you fellow travellers this is the first part of our coverage on Niagara falls😊.
And the second part has a definite travel delight surprise stored in for you.

Stay tuned with us.....
