There are some things worth experiencing at least once in your lifetime and worth going that extra mile for and sailing around the Italian island of Capri with your own private boat is absolutely one of them!!!
Imagine sailing the pristine blue waters on a gorgeous day enjoying a drink with just you and the captain on board!!! Stuff of dreams isn't it!!! So keep reading more to know exactly how to make it come true!!!
This half day boat tour (typically around 4 hours) is worth experiencing just for the incredibly unique feel it gives. Its a private boat sailing around the island and the captain would give some great details about each point you come across on this tour. You can also stop at several points to take pictures and go for a refreshing swim as well. Overall the scenery that you get to see is just mindblowing!!!
Below are the major points that are going to be covered on this tour:
The Faraglioni :
This is in itself a symbol of the island of Capri. Its an amazing experience to pass under the famous rock and there is a saying that if you kiss your partner as you pass under your love becomes eternal!!!
The Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) :
This the one of the most unique and incredible experiences. The blue water under the cave makes this place a major tourist attraction. However, you need to be aware that since the entrance to the Grotta is small your boat won't be able to make it inside. You will need to catch another small boat here to go inside this cave which might cost an extra few Euros.
Marina Grande :
This is the main port area. When you reach Capri you disembark at the port here. Also you will most probably need to catch your boat for the tour from here only.
The White Grotto (Grotta Bianca) :
You get amazing views of the landscape from inside the cave and also for the more adventurous souls you actually swim right across from one side of the cave to other.
Marina Piccola :
This is the other port in Capri though much smaller and much more scenic. This is on the southern side of the island and the views of the island from the sea on this side are nothing short of spectacular.
The Green Grotto:
You will be amazed at how green the water actually is inside. Makes for some amazing videos for your vlogs.
Faro Di Punta Carena :
Another one of the most iconic points in Capri , the lighthouse. You can ask your captain to give a halt here (although you can't get ashore here) to capture some pretty stunning shots from the waters.
Cost and service :
This tour will cost you around 200-250 Euros, depending on the time you are visiting. It may go up to 300 Euros in peak summer months. We booked ours with Capriprecious Boat service. This Boat tour service includes a bottle of Prosecco, towels for swimming and some lovely printed cushions to match the mood. This is a private tour so only the captain will be with you. Its an amazing experience to hear stories of all the famous points around the island from the captain while sailing the seas.

Note: There is usually a lot of rush of tourists to the island in summer and the boat tour will always be in high demand. So its advisable to get in touch with the boat tour operators early (either through Instagram or on the direct website) and get yourselves a good deal. Also if you want you can also go for a shorter tour if time is an issue. So you can plan accordingly!!!
