Indore to PatalPani Omkareshwar Temple ZoomAway RoadTrip RickyDiaries

Prelude: It was a long due trip to Indore to visit my cousin's family, so I planned 1 week trip to Indore. The weather was almost same like Bangalore in the month of October so it was a big relief for me. I spent initial few days to explore the famous street joints in the city, mainly Sarafa Bazar. Its a must visit for any type of foodie with variety of colorful calories waiting to be gulped :D

After few research, it was easy to lock down the next road trip destination - Patal Pani. Its a beautiful waterfall located around 1.5-2 Hours drive from the Indore City. Here is a quick recap memories:

Adding 2 hours more journey further will lead straight a way to Omkareshwar Temple.

Patal Pani

I picked up the Zoom car from the Indore city, the booking is quite simple now days. Just search the vehicle and it will show pickup point, no need to go to Zoom Car garage if Vehicle is located nearby you. After locating the vehicle, you can unlock the car by ZoomCar Application. Easy-Peesy, right? You will find the Keys inside the Car, make sure you marked the existing damage/scratches and upload the photos of the car in the application.

Though it was disappointing to see the unhygienic condition of the car, so I got it washed and cleaned myself as we were travelling in a family with infant onboard. It delayed my trip and wasted some time along with inconvenience, but the good part was support from ZoomCar. As they waived off 1 hour delayed drop and reimbursed the washing charges too. #HappyCustomer :)

The road conditions from Patal Pani to Omkareshwar is horrible, especially the Ghat section which was filled with the deep potholes and heavy trucks made it difficult to keep the pace. It was a good decision to rent Creta SUV as it really soaked the bumps and provided a comfort drive.

We left Indore at 2 PM and by the time we reached the Patal Pani water fall it was already 5:30 PM as we had a lunch stop.

We spent around 3o minutes at waterfall to admire natural beauty and capture in our cameras before we head out for next stop. I booked Rewa Resort for 1 night stay. It was hard to find as its located at edge of Narmada river and a small gully road connecting to main road.

The view from the resort looks great, the room service was very good too. But i was so disappointing with MakeMyTrip as i was charged 9500 for 2 rooms without any water/breakfast. I came to know from the Rewa Resort that they never charged so much for this package and room cost is only 3200 per night, so basically MMT charged 3100 extra from me. The resort charges 5000 for full package which includes all the meal, so there is definitely some problem in MMT pricing.

I have escalated to MMT and will update you guys once its resolved.

Anyways moving on, next morning after enjoying a hot tea with river view we decided to pay a visit to Omkareshwar temple.

Luckily It wasn't crowded that much on Friday, so we could finish in quick time without any hassle.

Overall its a trip worth planing from Indore, Hope you enjoy it.
