Hello everyone , This is Dr.Rohan , I'm publishing here my eighth post of my usual rides !
What's makes this one special is : this was a spot on plan , just got out of bed in the morning , it was still dark around 5:30 am , by six I was ready with riding grears on , I headed to petrol station , got full tank and left without a destination in mind ,
Then after joining NH4 , suddenly a place struck to my mind , why not Karwar ! I checked the distance , it was almost 620 kms one way ,
It took a while for me to approve to this crazy idea , next day I had to go back to work as well , so there was no question of staying there ,
Somehow I made up my mind that yes , I can do this , and I throttled to the full , I reached kolhapur in just 3 hours and then to belgaum in another 1 hour
Post belgaum I took a break for lunch , my bike was over heated , it needed a break as much as I did , it was a crazy ride , covering 370 kms in just 4 hour 15 minutes with an average of 108 km/hr , thanks to awesome highways. !
After my lunch without wasting much time I came on to highway NH4 , on the way on to my left saw this beautiful monument , mini vidhan soudha at Hubli around 160 kms after belgaum , this is the exact replica of bangalore's parliment house. . I needed my 3rd fuel refill , soon after Hubli I had to take a diversion towards Karwar. Through a coastal route , though it was not highway , roads were good , it was fun riding through the trees and mountains and villages ,, with few more stops , it was 3:30and I could see ocean , trust me nothing can substitute this feeling , I was feeling joyful , sense of accomplishment , my odometer was showing 620 kms and I was on beach , I parked my bik on the beach , took off bag and riding gears and sat over sand , and the spectacular view was ahead of me , I felt at peace , connected to ground , sense of fulfilment .. It was 4 pm , and I had to travel back to PUNE , 620 kms ,
I got up from the beach , took a deep breath and I was on my ride back , with several fuel refills , tea stops , I reached pune by 12 pm !
It was one hell of a ride ! Extreme riding !
