Somehow the places closest to me are the ones that I visit the last. Or sometimes don't visit at all. For instance, a visit to the Red Fort in Delhi is still due. This despite the fact that I was born and brought up in New Delhi and qualify for the popular sobriquet - Delhite.
History repeats itself in Pune, which has been home to me for the last 3 years. I've always thought of Lavasa as a place that I could go to anytime. "Its just here!!", as I tell myself and others who ask for a trip. But finally, the traveller got better of me as I set out to visit Lavasa on Jan 1st 2018.
