First of all, if you are not walking regularly, trek may seem difficult. There are horses available. You may choose to take a horse during the upclimb or downhill as you consider pertinent. Do not compromise on good shoes if you are walking. After visiting mata temple, go to Bhairon temple. Cable car goes from the Bhawan to Bhairon Mandir. If possible have a small bluetooth speaker to listen to bhakti songs during hike to keep you motivated ( I mean I missed having that so :) Go light. Don't carry too much stuff. There's Shiv khori temple I have heard about and would like to go to next time. You may choose. Patnitop is approx 80 km from katra. Again you may choose to go or not.
