Dehradun is a very beautiful city. There are alot of places in Dehradun like Gucchu pani, Sahastra Dhara, Tapkeshwar temple, Mussoorie, forest research institute, Maldevta, and resorts. If you are visiting Dehradun, I will suggest to go to Maldevta, very beautiful and peaceful place and stay there one night.
