Anyplace in Rajasthan and Kerala will be best for August You can visit places in Maharashtra also like Lonavala, Nasik etc

In august... if you prefer trek than valley of flowers. Otherwise, spiti valley but it wont be completed in 2-3 days.

You can go for hillstations in maharashtra like..... Matheran, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar. Also in south, you can go for coorg.
