Hampi if planning to visit before mid march and Ooty anytime other than monsoon.

It’s quite hard to answer as both have different values, Hampi gives you a slight historical feel whereas Ooty and coonoor has a hill station vibe. Also depends on the month of travel. I would choose Hampi though. Haha. Happy traveling:)

If u are interested in visiting heritage sites related to mythology then hampi is the best option. Also, sunrise and sunset in hampi are the best. If u are going just for relaxation then ooty is a good option as it is covered with greenery.

If you go ooty, I would suggest to consider accommodation in Coonoor.. when you take package from Ooty, they would bring you to Coonoor for estates and more view points..

Both options are good enough. choice is yours, how you want to enjoy the trip.

Ooty has a great temperature throughout the year so go for ooty..

DEPENDS You cannot compare the with one of the best heritage place with another best hill station, both are different from each other but is the best time to visit ooty

I think both have their own uniqueness. Hampi is a UNESCO world heritage site. It has an archeological and mythological significance. It's really an ideal place for heritage and History-lovers. On the other hand, Ooty is definitely rich in natural beauty with cool weather, hills, picturesque lakes and so on. So, if you are a History-lover, then do visit Hampi but if you want get yourself lost completely in nature, then choose Ooty. And obviously time of travel matters a lot. Avoid Hampi in Summer and Ooty in Monsoon. Happy Traveling!

It depends on what you would like to experience on your vacation. If you are looking for a place to relax with pleasant weather, you can head to Ooty. It is a hillstation so if you are looking to move away from the heat, that's your place to go. If you want to visit some beautiful heritage structures, Hampi is your destination. There are hundreds of temples and other structures you can visit there. On the other side of the river, you can also go for bouldering on the mountains.
