Winters will be a great time to go to Uttarakhand. There are many places you can explore like, Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Nainital, Valley of flowers but if you are looking for off beat destination there are places like Almora and Auli.

or you can try Bunjee Jumping, Flying Fox, River Rafting at Rishikesh..

Uttrakhand has really come up as a tourist destination. places like Rishikesh, mussori, Haridwar are over crowded during holidays and vacations. I personally like to travell before or end of seasons n, as it saves me the rush. but, incase that's the only available time you have, make sure you get your booking done in advance.
