You need 10,000 Thai Baht /person if you are traveling solo and 20,000 Thai baht if you are traveling with Family. You can also have the equivalent amount of money in USD, which is roughly 300 dollars. Mostly, they wouldn't ask you to show money in cash, but they might create a fuss if you don't have hard currency.
