Not much chance for snowfall is predicted in April. However you won’t be disappointed for glaciers are seen. You could also check through savaari.com, MMT for car rentals.

Temperatures in Srinagar are not on the lower end in the day. Temperatures are around 25/ 26 degrees in day and 12°at night. Winter season is November to March. It can snow you may be lucky its difficult to tell surely about the weather!!

The best time to visit Srinagar is from April to September. During this time, the whole place is covered with blossoms and looks aesthetically beautiful. Compared to the rest of the places in the country it is quite pleasant in Srinagar during summer which provides much-needed relief from heat and sweating. Not too cold and not too hot, the summer season is the best time to visit Srinagar.

Snowfall in April season is not possible but yes snow which has already there in upper region you can witness.
instead of sonmarg i would recommend to stay in pahalgam near the lidder river and enjoy the meadows and river view and also don't forget to eat trout fish from the river which hotel person will make for you in minimal charges as well.
and try to stay in govt build huts made up of wood..
if not recommended hotels in pahalgam are heevan hotel
