Thanks...I went to Old Manali & Kasol in May and loved it!
Hi Amanda, December would be peak winters in India and there are chances that some of the places might not be accessible in Kashmir and Himachal during that month, almost all the trek would be closed. You can still visit Kasol, Mcleodganj, Manali and SHimla in Himachal. Sikkim and Andaman are great options, the weather would be perfect and you can explore all the areas.

Thanks many days you need to travel Spiti
Hi Amanda, yeah it's right. the weather could be extreme at that time.. but if you want to go to spity valley you have to choose shimla-reckong pio-kaza root.. it will be open in almost all the time..
Yeah the weather will be extremely cold. There are other places in Himachal that you can go to.
Hi Sharayu I visited Kasol-Manali...really looking forward to visit Spiti but I heard the weather could be rough and more routes could be closed due to snowfall
I would suggest you to go to Himachal. Best time for snowfall. You can also do trekking, camping
Andamans would be good choice
If you love Beaches , then Andaman is best option. Otherwise Kasol is good for solo travel.
I do not know from which country you are travelling. In winters dessert touring is spectacular specially Jaisalmer.
Try to explore yourself man - wherever you go . i suggest you to go on unplanned trip just decide whether to go Northern or southern part of India of India and rest of the things you will decide their only.
