Rishikesh is very popular Pilgrimage Destination. You can reach Rishikesh by Train Or bus. There are number of Ashrams nd Hotels in Rishikesh. You need atleast 2 days to explore Rishikesh.

There's a daily overnight train running from jaipur to rishikesh, if you are travelling solo, you can stay at the hosteller mini- I myself had a great experience there and for coming back, you can either book a bus or train back to delhi and then take a cab or metro to delhi airport.

if you wanna go to rishikesh from Delhi
first go to Anand vihar bus turminal or kashmiri gate bus turminal you can get Volvo and normal state roadways buses or else you can go through Indian railways as well
