McLeodganj is good for a weekend getaway. Snow is less likely in March. If you want to experience snow, venture further north in the state.

I won't say it's a great time but neither it's bad. But I definitely don't think you will get snow there now. if you want to experience snowfall head out to the north mostly in January.

Hi Tanay, I just returned from a 10 day trip to Mcleodganj and there is snow at this point in time, but it will begin to melt by end of Feb. Triud trek was closed and so was the road to Dalhousie from Mcleodganj. So, to answer your question, yes, March is a good time to visit there, the weather will be pleasant and you will be bale to cover quite a lot of places around, there wont be snowfall though.

Hey Tanay, Its a good time to visit Mcleod (Dharamshala) and you might find snow there as well. You can also go for sight-seeing and trekking. Triund trek is a great option (once you reach triund top, move 4km further towards Snowline, a place with far much better views then Triund top itself). You can also visit Bhagsu falls and Kangara Valley. Happy Travelling :)
