Terund Treak can be best enjoyed if you stay at Tirund over night and witness the Sunrise. It takes about 4 hours of treaking from Mcleodganj to cover about 9 kms of distance. So I would suggest the following itinerary. Day 1. Arrival at Mcleodganj and leave for terund treak overnight stay there. Day 2. Return to Mcleodganj and discover local cafes at Mcleodganj. Day 3. Dalai Lama Temple, Bhagsu Fall, Dal Lake, Naddi view point and in evening enjoy Night Life at Mcleodganj. Day 4. Explore Dharmsala city and visit Dharmsala Cricket Stadium and Kangra Fort. Day.5 Kareri River Treak.

Thanks brother.
Hey Sandeep, I too did my first solo trip this year to Triund and it was a wonderful experience. In my suggestion 5 days is too much for Mcleodganj as you'll be able to cover all the tourist places along with the trek in max 3 days. On my first day i arrived in morning in Mcleod and stayed at the Zostel. After breakfast i went to Bhagsu Nath waterfall Shiva cafe and explored the mainsquare market and the monastery. After lunch at the mainsquare returned back to the Zostel. Then in the evening went to the sunset view point, and in the night played cards and sang songs with the fellow members at the zostel. Next day after breakfast started with my trek. I was lucky as it had snowed just few days ago so even experienced what its to trek in snow. Camping was closed at the time so had to descend the same day. Spent the rest of the day making friends in the zostel. Next day i explored the markets and visited 2 really famous cafes, Common Ground and Iliterati. Do visit them. I had my bus for evening so returned back to Delhi the next morning. Just one thing, go unplanned and you'll enjoy the most!!

Hi, Sandeep! You can explore a lot in and around Mcleod Ganj in 5 days. Here's the suggested itinerary: Day 1: Arrival in Dharamshala, spend the first half of the day at leisure and then explore the city attractions in the evening. Day 2: Travel to Mcleod Ganj and explore the local monasteries, visit Bhagsu Falls, and try local food. Day 3: Start for Triund trek in the morning from Dharamkot. Spend the night atop the Triund hill (weather permitting) Day 4: Climb down to Dharamkot and reach Mcleod Ganj by cab or on foot, your choice. Spend the night at your hotel. Day 5: End of the trip. It snows at Triund in January. So make sure you are well prepared with necessary items to deal with utter cold up there. If there's a warning issued already the local authorities, do not go trekking to Triund as you may face serious dangers of getting stuck in harsh blizzards and heavy snow at the hill top.
