In Rishikesh ,River rafting is a must activity to do, you can also visit neelkath fall, beatles ashram, enjoy organic food in cafes(Ramana Cafe) ,Ganga Pooja at Triveni Ghaat.Try to visit Dehradoon and Mussorie too..Dehradoon for its bakeries, and Bhuddha temple and Mussorie for its natural charm.
Hi! Since you're going to visit my hometown, it is my duty to make you aware of the fact that Rishikesh is usually too hot this month. You should definitely avoid going there in May. Visit the city in September or October or March.

And there is one temple around 80kms from Lansdowne, way to that temple is very scenic you will love it.
