Rajasthan is filled with beautiful forts and palaces.
If you want to visit Jaisalmer, which is 12 hour long journey from Jaipur by train, then you must visit the Jaisalmer Fort which is at the heart of the city and inside the fort is another small city where you can spend the whole day!
Then comes jodhpur, Jodhpur has the beautiful Mehrangarh Fort which is again huge and will take you at least a day to see it properly. Jodhpur has another palace which is very beautiful. Umaid Bhavan Palace, but only 1/7th of the palace is open for tourist while the rest of it is a heritgae/luxury hotel. Udaipur city palace is also good, but I loved Jodhpur much better.
Jaipur has the Amer fort and Nahargarh fort which are phenomenal as always.

Rajasthan has lots of forts but the best forts area. 1. Chittor Fort in Chhitorgarh - It is one of the largest forts in India & Asia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 2. Jaiselmer Fort in Jaiselmer - It is one of the very few living forts in the world, as nearly one fourth of the old city's population still resides within the fort. There are many Temples, Shops, Haveli, Museum inside the fort. 3. Mehargarh Fort in Jodhpur - It is situated around 410 feet above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. There are seven gates in Fort. Fort is known for intricate Carving & Expansive Courtyards. Lifts are there in the fort to reach terrace. As you reach the terrace the view of blue city from the terrace amaze you. Other than Forts i would suggest to visit: 4. "Chokhi Dhani" in Jaipur - Chokhi Dhani is a concept to experience a perfect Rajasthani experience. Inbound and native tourists have a desire to experience the unique Rajasthani culture. The real Rajasthan, the villages, the paintings, Bani Thani art, the wall decorations, Dipak wall, the fresh air, the evening performances, the enthusiasm, the 'manuhar' (a delicate request to eat till your hearts desire), the traditions, the costumes and at last but not least the Feelings. 5. Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur - It opened on 1 June 1976, designed by architect in Art Modern style. It is known for its large size as well as opulent and meringue interiors.
