Don't tell your Indian parents that travel will help you live life to the fullest or bring out your best version. They won't understand it. Tell them how travelling will help you get a better job. Spin a tale around how employers prefer well travelled candidates. Show them real examples of your friends who travel frequently and earn well. That should convince them.

It is mutually beneficial to stay close to your parents esp if you all are staying together under one roof. At times make them part of your holiday plan,,fsmily time spent together. They remember their time of youth well, take them on a nostalgic journey and eventually things will fall in place for you to do what you want to do without concealment.

Some parents dont understand that travel helps us a lot. So tell them that you are visiting the location for project work or training or something related to studies.
There's nothing wrong lieing to parents sometimes wn they can't understand the real mean n joy in traveling. Travelling is the best part of our life, it teaches us a lot wn we travel alone, meet new people , travel to different places n start living in different cultures..obviously our soul feels that everything is going right and we become more optimistic..thats the moment as humans we start to feel alive ..this is real happiness ????????????????

1st i know its not good to give u a bad advice... but stop wasting time to convince ur parents. Theres nothing bad in lying to parents. Just spend more time to plan something out... think of the week point where ur parent can allow you to go out.
Or the second best thing to can do is to make ur parents belive in you. Do something what they expect from you...simple

Make sure you tell them your plan and how excited you are to go on a trip.
Make sure you are safe while travelling anywhere and give them the assurance that you can take care of yourself.
Be adamant about it and let them know your wish strongly.

Pallavi you should start showing them your love/interest towards travel first. parents do this all the time and its there responsibility to do too. Why dont you start traveling with your parents/family members/close friends. I think eventually they will understand and will start letting you travel

Build trust and prove them that you are capable to handle various situations and in start try to travel in india only and near by places mostly .. and ya if still not getting any success thn best option is to say going with frnds and all not alone .. or may be clg trip or office trip :)

If u say like that ,they would pressurize u to not to go, especially for girls,boys can do so it is because parents feel that there is less exploitation for boys,so it's better to convince them that u are going for job ,or learning and if it with frnds or goup trips also kk,or give them the examples

Hey Pallavi, to be honest, more time is spent on planning strategies to convince parents than on planning for the trip. The best way to convince them is to have a proper conversation with them regarding your trip. Tell them that you would take care of yourself and will be responsible through out the trip. Tell them that you are young and it is right time for you to travel and learn new things and gather new experiences. A nice, matured conversation with your parents helps a lot when it comes to convincing them. And still if they don't agree, then start making puppy faces. I do that at times. You see, desperate times call for desperate measures. :D

Show them the solo traveller stories and show how people are earning from travel.You need to talk about people who are travelling and living their life.You need to show positive points of travelling to them.only talks can make a difference. Keep on trying till they get convinced.

Option 1- if your working then it is very easy.. just tell them about a project (a fake one) and then plan accordingly.
Option2 - if youre a college student and tell them you have been won a excursion trip to your destination in a debate competition.

For that you have two options Either 1.You have your own savings 2you need to ask your parents So in first situation
1You can tell your parents that you got internship somewhere for a month and you can travel
2you can tell your parents there is an entrepreneurship course in delhi or mumbai for a month.

Try to show your parents the itinenaries you have planned and discuss with them your trip.still if they dont permit you and if you could take your responsibility then a small lie wont matter!!!! But I would suggest you to make your parents see what you are dreaming about your trip. I would also suggest to take the help of any person who is trustworthy and ask him/her to convince your parents!!!!

That's obvious. Cause they are too much caring.. You just make a good excuse. What I do is I tell them I'm appearing in a interview in some xyz company and they never denies it.
