As Vrunesh said, Siem Reap is better than Phnom Penh. I would recommend visiting the temples in the early hours. Go to Angkor Wat as early as possible. I contacted a local guy there who took my friend and me around. If he is free, he may offer you a stay. He isn't expensive and was very kind. If you like, I can pass on his details to you. Phnom Kulen is another amazing place near Siem Reap. You could visit Phnom Kulen and Angkor in a day. If you like partying, Pub Street in Siem Reap offers great night life. I would highly recommend. Also, you can ziplining is possible in Siem Reap.

Don't fall for Phnom Penh , Its totally waste of time . Instead go Siem Reap. We have made separate trips for both countries but here is the itinerary you can follow. Vietnam is amazing 10 Night / 11 Days Day 1 : Hanoi - Arrive in Hanoi and have a break at Hanoi till after noon. In the evening go on a Night Tour with Vespa Adventures. Day 2 : Hanoi - This day will be dedicated to Hanoi Local Sight Seeing Tour Day 3 : Halong Bay - Go to Halong Bay -A World Unesco Heritage Site and board on a River Cruise. UpvoteCommentYes danang has multiple direct flights from Hanoi everyday and there's a night train also i think. But better to tale flights as they are pretty cheap in vietnam. Certainly you can visit cambodia later on after visiting Vietnam. But in Cambodia if you only want to go to Siem Reap ( Angkor) make sure to flyout from airport that gets you cheaper prices. Vietjet Air would be your best bet I guess from
1N/2D in phonm penh is not recommended, instead go to Siem Reap and visit the Angkor Wat temple.
