I am off to visit the Snake Boat Race in Allepy this weekend but here are my few recommendations for your solo trip to RISHIKESH. Non Touristy Season: The plus point about going in August to Rishikesh is that it would be less touristy. However, given the heavy rainfall, River rafting and other river adventures are suspended in August. What to visit: Ram Jhula, Lakhsman Jhula, Garud Chatti fall and Neer Garh falls are few places that you can visit. IF you are a Beatles' fan don't forget to miss the ashram near Lakshman Jhula where they had stayed. It has some lovely wall graffiti. I would highly recommend Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri. I have recently returned from Varanasi and the Ganga Arti there is also breathtaking. Aastha Path or Marine Drive of Rishikesh is a walking path by the river Ganga and it's a lovely place to spend some time by yourself. Where to stay: If you are traveling on a budget consider staying at Zostel / Moustache Hostels. Cafe: Hide out Cafe near Sai Ghat is good :) Hope this helps. Richa www.lighttravelaction.com

Beatles Aashram - Entering to this place is chargeable. Around 150 Per Person. 3. River Ravfting - 450-500 person. 4. Rishikesh Jhula. 5. Sandhya Aarti. 6. Morning walk with Street dogs. 7. The Hogger Cafe 8. The Hosteller. If you want some peace in staying then this place is highly recommend. 9. And if you want some budget Hostel then you can choose Aashram's. Have a great journey.

Hello anand Mohandas, I will be happy to answer your travel queries from my experience ☺️☺️ *Trivandrum is one of the rare places in India where modern amenities, cultural heritage and natural splendour meet and complement each other. The city is endowed with some of the most modern facilities in terms of hotels, schools, sports arenas and infrastructure. *Thiruvananthapuram is a major tourist centre, known for the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the beaches of Kovalam and Varkala, the backwaters of Poovar and Anchuthengu and its Western Ghats tracts of Ponmudi and the Agastyamala. *Some of the best beach hotels in Trivandrum are: -The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort Traveller rating: 4.0/5 -Beach and Lake Ayurvedic Resort Traveller rating: 4.0/5 -Coconut Bay Beach Resort Traveller rating: 4.5/5 *Trivandrum can be visited at any time throughout the year. However, the best time to visit Trivandrum is winters from November to March while the peak season is August to September & December to January. *I have a small suggestion for you,I just checked online and found that there are some great deals for Thiruvananthapuram ava availlable on tripoto itself, do check out this link https://www.tripoto.com/Thiruvananthapuram/hotels

Hi Yash, Uttarakhand right now doesn't look good because of the rains. Mainly because of the frequent landslides and road blocks, the roads are more prone to accidents these days. So I suggest you to wait for a couple of weeks, when the rains subside and the autumn colors bloom, it will be a perfect time for a trek. First week of September could be ideal for you.

Hi Nainshree, Both Barcelona and Valencia have some amazing wine tasting and winery tours to offer. While Barcelona has the famous sparkling Spanish wine as its USP, Valencia has more variety and it is generally more diverse and you get to explore historic towns with a heritage of wine making & artisan foods, tasting traditional Valencian cuisine & wines.

Hey. Girl can very much go on trekking trips in India and have a great time. Trekking communities such as Indiahikes.com, Bikatadventures.com organise trekking trips of which you can be a part of by simply registering for one of their many trekking trips.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
I have many female friends who solo treks as well as organised treks. If you are trying to do a solo treks, try going to a treks with easier difficulties which wont take more than a day. Gain a little confidence and do overnight treks as well. If you are trying to go with a group check their background, how many treks they have done in same region, how many certified mountaineers they have in their team. Ask them every single question you have in your mind. Rest is up to you.

Heyy, At the surfing ashram you can surf with the swamis. You can stay at the ashram and experience Indian culture, food, yoga, surfing, and all types of adventure sports. You can attend the morning pujas and kirtans and meditate at the ashram, later in the day you can go out and surf, if you dont know how to, you can learn as well!
