I don't think it's a good time. I've a friend from Kerala and got to know situation is quite bad (specially Munnar). It got so bad that they had to close down the airport for certain time!
Hi Anshul, Kerala is a big state with lots of good places to visit. To name a few, Wayanad, Munnar, Varkala and others. I would suggest to include Munnar if possible, because this is the Neelakurinji blooming season in Munnar. This rare purplish-blue flower blooms only once in 12 years and covers the lush hills of Munnar. Eravikulam National Park and Anamudi Peak are some places worth visiting.
I assume its a sort of 7 days plan. So you may visit Paris, the city of love and then Geneva(Switzerland). Try visiting Rome if you are fascinated by ancient architecture. Also, Austria is good.

It is good time to travel in October for two reasons - The rains and peak summer weather will be over even though it will still be hot but not as bad. And secondly the effects of earthquake will be settled.

There are many places to see in Wayanad to see and visit, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is one lush, forested region with areas of high altitude, home to animals including Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards and egrets. In the Ambukuthi Hills to the south, Edakkal Caves contain ancient petroglyphs, some dating back to the Neolithic age. Then there is Soochipara Falls, Banasura Sagar Dam and many more places to visit. Go through the attache darticle for more information!
It is a tourist friendly place. Hence, it is safe and everybody around will be ready to cooperate as well. But I would suggest to have all precautions like number of police, helpline and also if you know any far off person just as an emergency contact handy.
I would suggest you to visit Gokarna. It's in karnataka. Hotel cost : around 2.5 k max for two nights in a resort. You can get cheaper hotels. It's place for beach lovers. White sand, clean beaches, very less crowd.
Hi Saurabh, You can visit Jaipur-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, Gokarna in Karnataka, Munnar in Kerala, Parvati Valley, Kinnaur, Spiti in Himachal Pradesh. These places are good to visit in the autumn season, when the monsoons have subsided.
